Statistics and forecast

Project statistics in the Wooltasia web app: progress, work days until completion, time per pixel and the heatmap.

SectionsGuides

Where do I find my statistics?

In the project overview, the entry Project statistics sits below the progress bar. It is part of the Supporter subscription.

Important
Statistics need at least one completed pixel grid session. Before that the app only tells you that there is not enough data yet.

Project forecast

While your project is running, the app projects forward from your pace so far. The Project forecast card shows three values:

  • Estimated completion: the expected date
  • Remaining work days: how many work days are still ahead
  • Average activity: how many days per week you worked recently

The forecast gets more accurate with every pixel you check off. Once the project is finished, a card with the completion date replaces it.

The numbers in detail

Progress and pace

  • Average progress per day since the project started
  • Average working time per day
  • Most productive day, the weekday with the most progress

Sessions

  • Number of pixel grid sessions
  • Average time per session
  • Average time per pixel

Details

  • Average time per color change
  • Average time per row
  • Handy to see where time goes: many color changes in a row slow you down more than large areas.

Charts

Below the numbers the app shows two views:

  • Your progress: the curve over time
  • the heatmap titled “This is where you’re most productive”, showing the days you get the most done

Are the statistics synced?

Statistics belong to the project and to your account. If a project is synced, the app matches the data. If that fails, it discards the local statistics and tells you, and counting starts again.

Common questions

Why do I only see the message “Not enough data”?

The evaluation starts once you have completed your first pixel grid session. Without a session there are no time values to calculate from.

Does the forecast change the project itself?

No. Statistics are read-only: they change neither progress nor palette nor pattern.
