Absolutely. As long as your stitch sample is set up correctly, Wooltasia works great for knitting too. And it is not limited to crochet and knitting: people also use it for perler beads, embroidery, and even drawing on graph paper.
You can create and manage your stitch samples from the app overview. In the project overview, tap the apps icon in the top right and open the Stitch Sample Booklet.
For your first project, a stitch sample is required.

The stitch sample booklet is now opened via the icon in the top right of the project overview. That opens the apps overview where you can directly select the Stitch Sample Booklet.
You can change settings at any time, even while your project is already in progress. Open the side menu at the top left and choose Settings.
Start with the color that appears most in your motif, usually the background. Then crochet your starting chain to the project width, for example 210 stitches plus 1 turning chain (for single crochet). A practical tip: crochet 2 to 4 base rows first, then begin with the template.
The app calculates your image based on your stitch sample. Depending on your format and yarn, the motif can look pixelated. Your stitch sample tells the app how many pixels fit into an area of 10cm × 10cm.
To improve the result:
By default, you read the template in a zigzag pattern: row 1 from right to left, row 2 from left to right, then back again. At the end of each row, add a turning chain and turn your work.
Yes. You can enable left-handed direction and use Tunisian mode. The same basic logic also works for perler bead and embroidery projects.
The concept is the same, you simply start on the left side.
